Silverthorne Overview
Often referred to as the “Gateway to Summit County,” Silverthorne is located conveniently near the intersection of I-70 and Highway 6. The town has experienced steady growth in the past decade, spreading north towards Kremmling with new upscale neighborhoods commanding spectacular views of the Gore Range and beyond.
The Outlets at Silverthorne attract shoppers all year round with hundreds of shops located in 3 shopping villages. In addition to the outlet stores, Silverthorne is host to a wide variety of locally-owned shops, restaurants, and businesses.
The Blue River offers fly fishing, rafting, and scenic paved trails for biking and walking. The Silverthorne Pavilion situated on the banks of the Blue hosts performances and events throughout the year.
Summit County residents call Silverthorne the “banana belt,” since temperatures are often warmer and snowfall is usually not as heavy than elsewhere in the county.
With its easy accessibility from I-70 and multiple conveniences, Silverthorne will continue to experience growth in the years to come.
